“This was a very difficult decision for our family, but unlike previously bad experiences at the vets, Annie took her time and made this a very comfortable passing for our Dougie. She was calm and patient with our children, who were finding this very difficult. We will always be grateful to her for helping us.”
A small and independent team of, Annie a qualified vet, and nurses that will travel to your home, to help your pets pass peacefully. Our Story

Dr Annie Davis qualified from the University of Nottingham vet school in 2022 and returned to work in Gloucestershire, where she grew up on a farm. She started out at a local independent practice in Churchdown, where she has become particularly interested in surgery and complex medical cases. With her gentle nature and calm confidence, pets quickly become more settled, easing the stress of a visit to the vets. She wanted to start this at-home service as she learned how important those last few moments can be. Annie also believes in honouring the life that our beloved pets have spent as a member of our family, and keeping them comfortable, for a peaceful passing.

Amber is one of the lovely registered nurses helping us on our visits. She is a very caring and compassionate person, who has a lovely way with the animals she meets. She’s recently adopted a stray cat called Dude who features on our website.

Julie has a wealth of experience being a registered nurse for nearly 25 years. She is fantastic with all sized pets, having grown up with horses and working collies. She has a lovely calm nature which lends itself to our compassionate work.
What to expect
We will always talk you through each step of the process, but so you know what to expect, here is a guide to how a visit works. This can be an incredibly difficult decision, so if you need any support, please call us so we can help talk it through.
Once you have made the decision that it is time to say goodbye, we will arrange a time for the visit and discuss your options. This includes whether you would like us to arrange a cremation, or to arrange a burial yourselves. We will then discuss the costs of your choices and arrange payment ahead of time, so that there is no handling of money during your visit.
Once we arrive, a comfortable space will be made for your pet, and if needed some sedation can be used to keep them calm. We use sedation at no extra cost. Once they are settled, an IV cannula (small tube) is placed in a vein in their leg so that they can receive the injection without any discomfort. An overdose of an anaesthetic is used, so that they fall asleep before passing, and feel no discomfort or pain during the process. You can hold them, give them a fuss or leave the room at any time.
You can ask questions throughout, and have some time with them after they have passed. We are also used to discussing this experience with children, so do not feel alone in explaining this process. Depending on your choice, we will then leave, taking your loved one with us if it is a cremation you have chosen. We will deliver the ashes within an average time of 1-2 weeks if an individual cremation was chosen.
